What you need to know about me

Welcome to my blog everyone!  Anyone who knows me, knows that I've changed my lifestyle and put fitness a priority. Not just to look good, but to be healthy as well and I also want this for my family. Here's a little info about me. I am 29 years old and have two wonderful children.  Back when I was pregnant, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes with both children. Thankfully, it goes away as soon as I give birth, but what concerned me was that I was at a higher risk for getting diabetes when I get older. I told myself I didn't want to use insulin or take diabetes medicine for the rest of my life.

Fast track 19 months after I gave birth to my youngest, I was nursing my son. As I stared down at my belly, thinking, is this the way I want to look like for the rest of my life? I wanted more out of this life than to feel sluggish, unattractive, and down all the time.  I wanted to make a change and give my body what it deserves so I took the plunge and started working out.  14  months into my fitness journey and I didn't see the results. So every time, I  did my workout pushed myself harder and harder each time. It was until I finally figured out that I wasn't implementing all of the nutrition guidelines to my diet.  Through research, I needed to fuel my body with proper nutrients to generate energy before and after my workouts.  Anyone can workout for hours but to change your body you need to control your diet.  You can workout for an hour but 2 slices of pizza will wipe out your day of hard work.  I had to learn how to control my cravings and treats in moderation. I decided that I am going to try the the 21 Day Fix  and currently on day 6 and  have already lost 4 pounds and feeling stronger. I can not wait to see the full 21 day result from this program.  It educates me on eating habits and proper portion control while maintaining my full workouts. I truly believe that I am on the right track to kick my bad eating habits.   I can't wait for you guys to see my full results from the 21 Day Fix. I am SO excited!
